Starting a business on a shoestring.

When you are starting a business you do may not have a lot of money to spare.

I have owned 3 businesses in the past and have started all on a shoestring while working.  All of my businesses have been sucessfull.

Below are a few great cost savings suggestions.

1.  Get free business cards,  post it notes and rubber stamps from Vista Print just pay the postage.

2.  Purchase QuickBooks,  this is a great program for tracking all of your business expenses and income for a very good price of under $200.00.

3.  Network,  tell every member of your family and all of your friends over and over of your new business.  This will imprint your business in their mind for referrals.

4. If you need office furniture check you State, they may have surplus sales where you can purchase used.  Check local garage sales.  Use innovative thinking purchase 2 file cabinets 2 drawers each and place a hollow core door between then to make a desk or add a formica courter top from the local home improvement store.

5. Get a Staples "Rewards Card",  you will get 10% back in the form of a coupon to purchase more office supplies each month.
